Become a Dream Master

October 27, 2016 Sharon Jacobson

I was reading the thought for the day from Don Miguel Ruiz this morning. He wrote, “Your life is the manifestation of your personal dream.  If you can transform the program of your personal dream, you can become a dream master.”  We cannot transform something, however, if we are not willing to open our hearts, minds, and souls, to the transformation process. Opening ourselves up to move beyond the limitations we place on ourselves is not always easy, however, it allows us to push our limits as Enigma sings about, and master our dreams rather than being enslaved to the dreams and limitations of others.

Thinking about this made me wonder how often we even realize that we are even enslaved to the dreams of others. This not realizing, is as I once heard a philosopher argue, the perfect form of slavery. When we are in a state of not knowing that we are even enslaved, then we have a closed sign on our dreams and blessings and do not even realize it.

Sometimes opening ourselves up is difficult because it means we have to let go of the chains and bandages that have bound and blinded us for a good part of our lives. It requires us to surrender beliefs that we once held on to as truths and now recognize them as lies. It means we open ourselves up to having our prayers answered in ways and from people, places, and things that seem the most unlikely.

Recently, someone shared with me how they were supposed to be doing x, y and z, but there were all these obstacles in their way. When we looked at those obstacles as directional signals guiding them in a modified direction, doors began opening and a new and clearer path was revealed. It ultimately led to a place they were not expecting and had not even been previously open to considering.  My son came into my life when I opened my heart up to birthing and not expecting my children to be birthed through me physically. I have since given birth to other children in the same manner.

What do you need to remove from your belief system to open you up to richer and broader possibilities?  Isn’t it time to change the sign from closed to some blessings to open to all blessings?
