My do for me list

September 26, 2016 Sharon Jacobson

Dear Sharon,

Yeah I am writing this one to you. Gurl, all month long you have been writing about nurturing, but seriously what have you done to nurture yourself this month. Not enough. So slow down and let’s take some time to smell the roses. Here are a list of things you love doing and have not done for a while. So even though we are moving to a new spiritual practice in October, let’s work on being open to being more nurturing of your own self so you can continue to be nurturing to others.

©      Buy yourself a bunch of fresh flowers and display them where you'll see them often. Allow yourself to stop and admire them. Do not look at the price, you are worthy.

©      Sit in the warm sunshine and read a good book or magazine.

©      Make yourself a cooked breakfast for a change, and sit somewhere nice to enjoy it.

©      Wake up early and watch the sun rise from a good vantage point.

©      Sleep in until you wake up.

©      Go through your wardrobe. Give away any clothes that don't flatter you, and arrange the remaining clothes neatly.

©      Buy yourself a new outfit.

©      Go for a drive to somewhere scenic.

©      Cook yourself your favorite meal, set the table nicely and eat by candlelight.

©      Buy a nice hand and body lotion and rub it all over your body or ask Zoe to help you.

©      Meditate

©      Make a list of your special achievements, no matter how small they may seem.

©      Read some positive and funny quotes.

©      Write a list of things you'd like to do one day, even if they seem absurd or unattainable.

©      Go to the craft store or mall with Zoe and have fun.

©      Start eating more healthily and practice some regular exercise.

©      Take an afternoon nap.

©      Just sit and do absolutely nothing for 10 minutes (without thinking of all the things you think you should be doing).

Now don’t tell me you are going to try, just do it.
