Turn With Me
I am not sure when I first heard this
or who said this,
a friend told me it was me,
but the quote is this.
If you are not evolving,
you are revolving.
I remember it every time I see
one of those evolving doors.
If you do not go in and out,
you just keep revolving.
If you move your position,
you evolve.
you enter one space,
and exit another.
When we stay stuck
in one position,
we stop growing.
When we turn towards each other,
when we go in and out
like the evolving door
we do more then revolve.
When we converse with each other,
even when we converse the converse,
we join each other
in the sometimes difficult process
of evolving.
We help each other to begin the process
of evolving
and not just revolving.
We become part of the evolution,
and in some cases we become
part of the revolution.
