Divine by Design

January 31, 2025 Sharon Jacobson

Divine by Design

I am divine by design
because I was designed by the Divine.
I am a work of art,
which hangs in the museum of life.
I am part of a collection of other
pieces of art
and together we bring meaning to the world.
We are more then just works of art,
we are the caretakers of our own work.
Each moment we make choices which
contribute to maintaining our artistry
or deface the work we were created to be.
If I cannot see the beauty within myself,
then how can I expect others to.
If I deface my beauty,
then I give others permission to do the same.
I am committed to self care,
love and compassion
remembering to do so because
I am divine by design
because I was designed by the Divine

100% of our donations go to support our ability to provide low and no cost offerings to those seeking to grow and evolve spiritually.

Grappling

August 21, 2020 Sharon Jacobson

When I grapple with the complex issues I teach,
I find myself breaking it down to
three questions.
Should I care,
should I do anything,
and what should I do.
I do care.
I care about the injustices
in the world
and to varying degrees
I feel as if I should do something.
I want to do something for others
and their inequalities
and injustices.
Sometimes I just don’t know what
to say,
to do,
or how to begin.
Sometimes I care
and I want to do something
I just don’t know what.
Sometimes I need to sit and listen
to the ideas and needs of
the ones I want to fight for.
I need to listen to those who
understand the cultural,
political,
economic,
spiritual,
sociological
and other complexities
which
shape what I call an injustice.
More importantly I need to listen
to see if others even consider
what concerns me
to be an issue.
What appears to be an injustice to me
may not be to others.
That can be so frustrating,
but then I remember people
do not see my inequalities
as inequalities.
They do not see my injustices
as injustices.
I grapple with that as well
