My Share

January 2, 2023 Sharon Jacobson

My Share

I have never minded doing my share of things,
whether it was work,
chores,
relationships,
and life in general.
I have never minded paying my share of the bills,
the meals,
or any life expenses
as long as I can do so without going beyond my means.
I have always thought about my share
in terms of stuff and things
but not emotions.
When I do, I realize I am more likely
to share in the joy and celebration,
then to carry my share of the burden of pain and suffering.
I know I cannot go through the challenges
but I can be present, listen, and empathize.
I can be there to share in the suffering of others,
doing what I can to bring about change,
show compassion,
and lighten the burden of others.
I know I cannot take away the burdens of others or of the world,
but I can do what I can to be present in times of need
and remember how others have been present for me
lightening mine by sharing the load.

100% of God our donations go to support our ability to provide low and no cost offerings to those seeking to grow and evolve spiritually.

Entering the Miracle

August 27, 2016 Sharon Jacobson

So here we are at the end of August and it is amazing to me how much I have thought about meaning lately. It is interesting how I have been thinking about why I have been led to sources of wisdom and revelation at certain times. For example, I was looking for a book a few months ago and was drawn to a book by Mark Nepo, which I thought would be awesome for our book club, called Inside the Miracle. It is a gathering of his writings which draw on his experience and transformation because of his battle with cancer.  Most of the people in our book club have had cancer and so I thought this was a book that would really speak to them.

Little did I know that I was drawn to this book for another reason. One of my dearest friends was diagnosed with brain cancer.  Reading this book while journeying with her helped me to enter into the miracle that was to happen in her life. It gave me new understandings of my own health challenges and the journey to wholeness which was coming as a result of this opportunity.

I have the power!

February 8, 2014 Sharon Jacobson
power.jpg

I have been thinking about how, as I wrote about last week, the changes, which are occurring in my life, are happening for me, not to me. While I am clearly experiencing some physical changes in my life, most of these changes as well as the others I have been experiencing are about changes that are happening internally. They are changes, which are happening in my belief system.

What I believe is what I have chosen to believe. My beliefs live within me and have power in my life because I have given them that power. Understanding they can only continue to exist if I continue to feed them is powerful. It means I also have the power to evict them from my heart and edit them out of my belief system.
