Growing up in my household, periodically I would, like many teenagers, “forget” to do my chores. My parents would always put me in my place by saying something like, “But you remembered to call your friends, didn’t you? You seem to remember what is important to you!” They were right and it is a lesson I carry with me even today.
As a teenager, doing chores was not important. They were always going to be there and unless I really needed my allowance, which was important, spending time doing chores was not near as important to me as being with my friends. At the time, the choice was simple, time with friends or time without them doing chores. The problem was when my chore was to do laundry and my favorite outfits were not available; then doing laundry was more important than time with friends.

defines uncomfortable as “causing or feeling slight pain or physical discomfort.”
Some people when thinking about what makes them uncomfortable think about things
they wear. Things such as shoes may start feeling comfortable when first put on,
however by the end of the day, you can be so ready to slide your feet out of
them and slip into something far more comfortable. Sometimes after eating a filling
meal, the waistband on our clothes can make you wish you were wearing something
stretchable because it is beginning to feel a little uncomfortable. My female
friends will tell you that one of the most uncomfortable things they wear is a
bra and many cannot wait to get home and take that off as soon as possible.
Read moreI was watching a 2-minute video by Don Miguel Ruiz called The Truth about Cats and Dogs. He talked about how cats do not identify themselves as cats or dogs as dogs or any animal as a species or series of roles. As we are not a part of those species, we will never know that for sure. However, his whole point was that we are more then any word we use to identify ourselves.
As I thought about this, I found myself going back to a story from the book of Exodus in the Hebrew Bible. There Moses asks God, who shall I say sent me.
