Thank You

Thank You

Have you ever had something
which had served its purpose
and was no longer of use.
Like socks that are now holey
or shoes that are no longer repairable
or clothes that have been worn out.
As soon as my new shoes arrive,
I will say goodbye to the ones
who have served me for 14 years.
As I think about all they have seen me through,
all the steps they have taken with me,
and all the protection they have given me,
it seems wrong
to just throw them
in the trash.
So instead,
I will wrap them in love,
bury them in a box
and say thank you.
Somehow it seems
like that is the right thing to do.

Have I Done Any Good in the World Today

October 19, 2020 Sharon Jacobson

What if we checked in
with ourselves and
asked if we had done any good
 in the world today.
What if we were focused on
making a difference
in the world
and in people’s lives.
Who have I helped today?
Have I cheered anyone up?
Have I made someone laugh?
Have I done something to lighten their load?
Have I shared with others?
Have I done anything to help others?
At the end of each day,
can I say yes.
If I want to be of service,
and do what I can to
help make this
heaven on earth

Fantasy

December 23, 2019 Sharon Jacobson

We all fantasize,
but how many of us
fantasize
about being of greater service
to the one we call our Higher Power

What do you fantasize about?
Is it about fighting for equality
amongst all of humanity?
Or is it about working to bring about
world peace?
Perhaps it is about practicing patience
or compassion with all of humanity.
Perhaps it is about promoting
healing and wholeness

May we open
our heart, mind, and soul to
fantasizing about
making it on earth
as it is in Heaven
or at least
as we fantasize
it to be.

Opening up!

November 11, 2014 Sharon Jacobson

As most of you know, I had a near death experience on November 1, 2014 and have spent quite a bit of time the last 10 days processing everything that has happened in my life. I have learned a number of lessons along the way. One of them is about how opening up is an act of service. One of the most significant aspects of my healing has been my active choice to be transparent about what is happening in my life and jumping into the blessings, which this significant change has brought me. The only way for me to grow in my own personal journey was to work and climb to the next level.

This morning was a real test of my willingness to do that.
